Experience the transformative power of Pilates
If you’re looking for real results, not just a generic workout, you’re in the right place. At Pilates Playground, I teach private, one-on-one Classical Pilates sessions in Woodbury, NY, using traditional equipment and a plan built entirely around you.
Every session is designed with your safety in mind. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing pain, or working to prevent future issues, we’ll focus on functional movement, alignment, and strength that supports your daily life.
As you build strength, you’ll also deepen your mind-body connection. You’ll start to move with more control, awareness, and confidence, and feel more connected to yourself than ever before.
These sessions are never one-size-fits-all. I’ll continuously adapt and progress your program as your body gets stronger. You’ll be challenged at your level, so you always leave feeling accomplished, energized, and proud of what your body can do.
FAQ (aka the stuff everyone asks me)
-
Pilates is a unique system of mindful movement where every exercise stretches, strengthens, and challenges your control, all at once.
Originally called Contrology by its founder Joseph Pilates, the method was designed to fully condition both body and mind. Each movement demands focus, precision, and alignment. The results are transformative.
Pilates uses specialized equipment that supports and challenges the body with spring-based resistance. It’s a holistic, functional approach to movement that strengthens every muscle in a balanced way, and works to bring your body back into balance.
-
Classical Pilates follows the original method developed by Joseph Pilates. It uses traditional equipment and a structured approach that builds strength, control, and balance through thoughtful progression.
I choose to teach Classical Pilates because I’ve seen how effective it is for real, lasting results. The method is precise and powerful. It gives me a clear framework to meet you where you are and to help you progress with purpose, safety, and intention.
-
Every session is fully personalized and grounded in the Classical Pilates method, using traditional equipment and real one-on-one attention. But what truly sets this studio apart is the way I work with the body.
Clients often tell me I have a deep understanding of how the body moves, compensates, and heals. I know how to help it perform at a higher level, even when there are injuries or limitations. Whether you’re just getting started or pushing to reach new goals, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with strength, clarity, and control.
-
Pilates is for everybody. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or experienced. You just need a body and a willingness to work.
Whether you’re completely new or have tried Pilates before, I’ll meet you where you are. Every session is customized to your needs, and I’ll introduce you to the equipment at a pace that feels right for you.
If you’re dealing with injuries or physical limitations, no problem. I’ll adapt your session to keep you moving safely and effectively, replacing anything that doesn’t serve your body with movements that help you feel stronger, more balanced, and in control.
-
Absolutely! But the hard truth is, not every Pilates teacher or even style is for everyone. The relationship between a private Pilates teacher and client is an intimate one, and we have to gel. If it doesn’t feel like the best fit for either of us, I’ll gladly point you toward another studio or teacher who might be a better match. I want clients in the studio, of course, but only the right ones. Just as I want you to get the best results possible, and I completely understand that might not be with me.
-
Not at all. Pilates is designed to meet you where you are and build you up from there. You don’t need to be in shape, flexible, or have any experience to start.
I’ll guide you through each session based on your current level, and we’ll focus on building strength, control, and confidence over time. Pilates is for people who want to feel better in their bodies, not just those who already do.

In most cases, yes. I have extensive experience working with clients dealing with back pain, joint issues, and other common injuries or limitations. I’m also highly trained in both pre- and postnatal Pilates.
If you have a specific condition and want to make sure it’s a good fit, you’re always welcome to reach out before booking. Call or email me with your questions. I’m happy to talk it through with you.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes long. I also offer express sessions for people who are short on time, but I don’t recommend making those your regular go-to. You’ll get the most out of Pilates with the full session. As it gives us time to dive in, address your specific needs, and leave you feeling stronger, more balanced, and more connected.
-
Yes, I offer both. You can book single sessions at full price, or save by purchasing a package at a discounted rate. I also have an intro special. This is a three-session pack at an even bigger discount, so you can get a feel for the work before committing to a full package.
-
Credit card payment is required at the time of booking. If you prefer not to use a card, you can pay by Zelle in advance. Cash is also accepted, but must be paid at the appointment.
-
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, just give at least 12 hours’ notice. That way, I can offer your spot to someone else. Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee, or result in the loss of a session credit.
